My boys and I. A 4 month old and my 2 year old.

Don’t Wish it away.

“Don’t wish it away!” Wise words from a friend whose children are grown and on their own. She said that when she spotted this photo on my desktop wallpaper — time flies. My children are at that stage that only mom will do. It can get overwhelming and tiring but she’s right!! You know she’s right! ❤ .

The other day my husband said I left the garage door open and when I tried to recall what happened I had to laugh. I got home and quickly dropped some groceries in, when my 1 year old and 3 year old spotted me it was just hugs and kisses from there. lol.. I couldn’t get up from the floor with them.

If you have small children I’m sure you can relate. Everytime I think of my friend’s statement and what other mothers tell me my heart breaks. I feel time flying. Notice I only said my one-year-old and three-year-old, that’s because I also have an eight-year-old and a five-year-old and they were busy doing their own thing. It’s already happening for them, where mom and dad are not the center. And that’s ok, it’s all part of it. I want them to become individuals that know they are more than one thing. But I do want to cherish moments when they need me while I can, to plan for more quality time. To build a life that will foster that! I wish this for myself and for you!
