I was in San Diego for an entrepreneur conference and I think about it fondly because it was a milestone for my business. ✨
It was such a big decision for our family and investment in resources to make the trip happen but it really was worth it. I still recall that I almost didn’t go but an unexpected and timely set of funds arrived the day enrolment to B-school was closing. Coincidence? I think NoT!
I knew I had to do it!
Learning from the best and taking action brought me to a room of amazing people including Jasmine Star, Amy Porterfield and Marie Forleo (talk about full circle).
Investing in learning and growth (that you implement) confirms that this ain’t a hobby.
As Rachel Hollis once said. “Don’t ever let anyone…not even yourself …tell you what you’re doing is “This ‘little’ thing on the side”.” – She’s so right.
You know how much heart you put into it. Be proud of all the strides you’re making in whatever your goals are.
It could be a personal goal like your health, finishing a degree or owning a business. Don’t downplay your efforts. You get me?!
While I was at the conference I came to a Starbucks and looked at the wall of water bottles and pieces differently, I saw they were done by independent artists. My new mindset from the conference, had me dreaming of big things. Read about that here.
As I look back at the photos from the event. It reminds me how energizing it is to have met other driven, dedicated people…some I still stay in touch with to this day.
