“Easter will be at our home, let us know what you’d like to cook and bring. Are we having an egg hunt for the kids?” Love Mama
Do you get emails like these too when a big holiday is coming up?
Now that we have families of our own, coordinating special holidays with our siblings and parents need some careful planning. Easter is no exception.
Since my side of the family have children that are 10 years old and under, my sister-in-laws and I also love to prepare Easter Egg hunts for them when we can.
Canadian weather can be pretty unpredictable though, you can’t always rely on having these egg hunts outdoors. We make do with what we can. The eggs might be a little easier to find, but it’s all in good fun.
I was looking at past photos and also stumbled upon the Easter egg hunt hosted by a local farm. That was quite a treat.
If you’re ever in the neighborhood around Easter, Springridge Farms host them each year. The children get their own Easter baskets and the eggs are hidden under hay inside a barn.
Lots of places to take photos, yummy candy kabobs, a maze, and even a puppet show. Their little shop has home decor and goodies you can purchase.
As we’ve grown
Over the years, more grandchildren have been added to our family. Easter Egg hunts are so much fun and quite hysterical if you ask me.
I was inspired to create Easter Egg illustrations. There are ten children and I’m thinking we can use them for the baskets or maybe even loot bags. Just click at the link below.
I’ve also thrown in a “Happy Easter” signage which you can frame. Print it out and display at your Easter gatherings.
The Collection
As an extension of these Egg illustrations, I’ve created a collection to match the theme in our shop.
You’ll find paper plates, invitations, banners, stickers, napkins, and other fun items. If I’m missing anything just let me know. You can email me as usual.
Aside from having fun designing these Easter pieces, it was so nice to look at past photos and share them with you. Easter is a time of celebration and gratitude. The holidays can be hectic but seeing it from the eyes of a child can put things in perspective.
We are grateful for the blessings that God has given us. Wishing you and your families a wonderful Easter celebration. I hope you found this post helpful, please feel free to share it with your friends.
