I get it now… Why when we were little, you seldom bought anything new for yourself — your children, on the other hand, always seem to have what they need.
I get why you taught us to appreciate what we have, to work smart, and be wise with our money.
I get why there seems to always be a piece of cake for me and why you pretend you didn’t need it.
I get why you instilled in us the importance of prayer and faith in God, especially when raising a family.
For this and many more, thank you!
What would you like to say to your mom? Do you feel the same way? Do you see your mother’s wisdom now that you’re older, now that you understand the importance of relationships?
I know becoming a mother has allowed me to appreciate her more.
My mother is the most beautiful woman in my life, I love her dearly, she’s the only one who gets me sometimes. We don’t always agree on everything but I know I can count on her love and support.
I’ve learned so much from her examples and how she lives her life. She’s loving, faithful and nurturing. A true role model.
Moms, can often become the unsung hero of stories, the behind the scenes cheerleader. Even in their silence, you feel their love and prayers.
When it comes to giving something for mom, it really goes a long way to be extra thoughtful.
I myself am mush when it comes to this. I love encouraging words to confirm that I’m doing ok. 🙂
Gifts from the kids.
On my very first mother’s day, my husband gave me these adorable children’s books “From baby”.
He chose, “I love you mommy” and “Mama loves me”.
He also wrote a special card which echoed the words from the book and it touched the heart of this new mama. Call it hormones, or over-exhaustion but I had tears reading the simple words of appreciation. We live for these.
Every mother’s day, we also gather for brunch or lunch with our extended family.
I remember one year my nephew and niece created these succulents with their parents. Such a cool idea.
I loved this present so much for its creativity, thoughtfulness… and because I’ve been able to keep this plant alive all these years. lol
I also cherish the prints my children bring home from school. One in particular are the “About Mom” sheets. I wanted to give you this printable as well. I created one for mom and grandma.
Drawing inspiration from my memories; here are a few of my designs I hope you enjoy. (click on each image to customize).
